  Precompiled xmonad binary built from the modernize-ghc9.10-arm64 branch.

  Build environment

  • Platform: macOS 26.6.2 (Darwin 25.6.0), arm64
  • GHC: 9.10.3 (via ghcup)
  • cabal-install: 3.16.1.0
  • xmonad: 0.18.1.9 (patched with -framework Cocoa in ghcArgs)
  • osxmonad: 0.1.0.0 (modernized cabal + source)

  • xmonad-0.18.1.9-darwin-arm64 — Mach-O 64-bit executable arm64 (~27 MB)

  Install

  chmod +x xmonad-0.18.1.9-darwin-arm64
  mkdir -p ~/.xmonad
  cp xmonad-0.18.1.9-darwin-arm64 ~/.xmonad/xmonad
  

  Then create ~/.xmonad/xmonad.hs per the README and run ~/.xmonad/xmonad.

  Caveats

  • Built against the patched local xmonad source (Cocoa framework flag added to ghcArgs so user configs importing OSXMonad.Core link).
  • _AXUIElementGetWindow (removed private SPI) replaced with the AXUIElement pointer address as a window id; window-id stability across poll cycles is untested.
  • isSpaceTransitioning relies on private CGS SPIs; links but untested on macOS 26.
  • 2 harmless deprecation warnings at build time (GetProcessPID/GetNextProcess).
